Welcome to the practice of Dr. Kore Nissenson Glied, PhD.  Dr. Glied works with individuals experiencing a wide range of psychologist issues with expert training in anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), and insomnia.  Dr. Glied specializes in Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). These treatments focus on identifying problems and developing solutions for change.  These interventions have been recognized as among the most effective means of treatment according to research. Dr. Glied has specialized training in CBT-I for insomnia and exposure and response prevention (EX-RP) for OCD.

Treatment with Dr. Glied focuses on teaching skills to get unstuck from negative behaviors like avoidance, rumination, insomnia, and self-judgment as well as learning ways to engage in or get back to more meaningful and important activities in your life. Therapy includes working towards goals and important areas of life that may be avoided due to painful thoughts, feelings, and sleep issues. Strategies may include mindfulness techniques, anxiety and emotion regulation skills, self confidence building tools, and CBT-I or EX-RP specific practices.

Dr. Glied is trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). In DBT, clients are taught coping skills such as mindfulness, meditation and other emotion regulation techniques to manage mood changes, relationship and interpersonal problems, impulsive urges, and difficulty with concentration and focus.

Dr. Glied provides supervision and training to individuals and organizations in CBT and ACT. She has presented in national and international conferences. Dr. Glied gives lectures and workshops focused on managing stress, anxiety, and building healthier relationships.
